Postgraduate Midwifery Courses
The Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery at ECU prepares students who are already nurses for entry into midwifery. Clinical practice is gained in a variety of partner hospitals and placements are organised to enable progression from normal to complex maternity care. The aim of these placements is to develop a holistic view of midwifery practice while encouraging confidence and competence in the skills needed to be a midwife. The ultimate aim is to produce a competent, confident practitioner who meets the Nurses Board of Western Australia’s requirements for registration as a midwife.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery : The course aims to prepare competent, confident, beginning midwife practitioners for the challenge of contemporary midwifery practice.
