Welcome to our ‘International Students’ webpage

Whether you are a future student or a current student, we hope that you will find this page a useful resource tool.  The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Postgraduate Medicine is dedicated to providing excellence in education and is committed to the internationalisation of its on-shore programs.  The School is responsive and forward thinking and is a leader in the provision of professionally focused degree programs.

We currently have a number of off-shore (studies based at overseas partner institutions) and exchange programs in Asia and Europe as well as the USA.  Exchange programs offer students from overseas institutions an opportunity to study at ECU and experience a new culture for a minimum of at least one semester and also for students studying at ECU to study overseas for a minimum of one semester.

A number of our courses (particularly those in Postgraduate Medicine) are offered on-line, allowing students to complete their course on an external basis.  If you are planning to study on campus, you will have access to state of the art facilities and equipment, some of which are unique to our program.  Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) will have the opportunity to undertake all of their practicum training at one of our partner hospitals.  Our staff are dedicated professionals with relevant and on-going industry experience with strong international links.

Graduates from The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Postgraduate Medicine will have the knowledge and life skills to make significant contributions to the global community.  Should you require any further information, or should you have any suggestions about how we can improve this page please email us at: snmpm@ecu.edu.au.

Orientation for International Students

The International Students Office invites all new international students to attend its comprehensive orientation program which is run over one week prior to the start of semester.  This is a fun-filled week which is packed full of information for new students preparing to study at ECU.  Students have the opportunity to register, collect student ID cards, gather vital information about living and studying in Perth, open bank accounts, finalise medical insurance, attend University Enrolment and Faculty orientation sessions.  Just as importantly, it is a great opportunity to make networks and friends to assist you with your new lifestyle in Perth!  For more information about this important event please access the following link: http://www.ecu.edu.au/student/orientation/
