Why Study at ECU?
Edith Cowan University is a modern ‘new generation’ university pioneering links and partnerships with key industries and professions. We are also Western Australia’s second largest and fastest-growing University. We offer recognised qualifications and diverse opportunities for our Australian and international students – many not offered by more traditional universities.
- The Move to Joondalup : In 2008, the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Postgraduate Medicine moved from the Churchlands Campus to a purpose-built Health and Wellness building on the Joondalup Campus. The Joondalup Campus offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a multi-million dollar recreation centre and an outdoor cinema. The new Health and Wellness building includes unique clinical teaching facilities that replicate hospital wards, cutting edge labs and technology to apply clinical case scenarios.
- Excellent Facilities : The building has 4 demonstration wards with ten beds and 2 demonstration wards with 4 beds, supported with modern equipment and technology. The wards, labs and other services such as the anatomy museum provide a realistic clinical environment for students to be taught and practice new skills.
- Working with Industry : We work closely with industry to develop courses that are practical and ensure our students emerge career-focused, well qualified and ready to contribute to the community.
